I live and work in New York City with my wife, Janeen. We own 2 companies together in very different fields: Web Design/Marketing (www.engineno9inc.com) and Event Planning & Production (www.jksevents.com). Thankfully, our skill sets are complementary.

We have two children who are among the happiest kids we know. And they are best friends. Either I am the luckiest guy in the world, or I somehow learned how to create my own opportunities. I used to believe I was the former, but people have been trying to convince me that I figured out the latter. This blog is my attempt to put to (e)paper my thoughts on creating opportunities.

I have had the opportunities to do many different things. I have worked in health care, auto leasing(!), technology, marketing, operations, finance, general management, business consulting, event production and other fields that I’ve probably forgotten.

I hold both BS and MS degrees in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and I also earned an MBA from The Wharton School.
