Privacy Policy

How Engine No. 9 handles your information.

Short version: we collect what's needed to book a call and, if you opt in, to text or email you, we don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it. Effective date: July 29, 2026.

What We Collect

Only what you give us, or what's needed to run the Site.

When you book a call through this Site, our scheduling provider collects your name, email address, and phone number, and any details you choose to add. If you use the chat widget on this Site or opt in to text messages, we and our messaging platform collect your phone number, your messaging preferences, and a record of your consent and any opt-out activity, so we can honor them going forward. If you email or call us directly, we have whatever you send.

Like most sites, basic technical information (browser type, general location, pages visited) may be logged automatically by our hosting and analytics tools to understand traffic and keep the Site running.

How We Use It

To respond to you, run the Site, and honor what you've opted into.

We use the information you provide to schedule and prepare for your call, follow up afterward, and respond to whatever you reached out about. If you've opted in, we use it to send SMS or email messages such as appointment confirmations and reminders. We use aggregate technical data to understand how the Site is used and improve it, and we keep records of consent and opt-out activity to stay compliant with messaging rules. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for anything beyond running Engine No. 9's practice and communicating with you.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell it, and text opt-in data never goes to third parties for marketing.

We don't sell your personal information. No mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or consent information is shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes, period.

We share information only with the vendors that help us run the practice, our scheduling and messaging platform (GoHighLevel/LeadConnector), email delivery, and basic analytics, and only so they can perform that specific service on our behalf. Where a subcontractor supports a service like customer communication, this exclusion still applies: text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never part of what's shared.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Engine No. 9, our users, or others.

If Engine No. 9 is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any successor would be required to honor this Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services & Cookies

The tools this Site relies on, and what they see.

Scheduling and text messaging on this Site run through GoHighLevel/LeadConnector, a third-party CRM, scheduling, and messaging platform. When you use the booking calendar or chat widget, your information is shared with that provider so the call can be scheduled, messages can be sent, and we can follow up. That embedded widget may set its own cookies or pixels to function; it's governed by that provider's own privacy practices, not this policy.

The Site may also use a basic analytics or tracking script to understand overall traffic patterns. It doesn't collect anything beyond standard usage data, and isn't used to build advertising profiles or shared with third parties for their own marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some Site features, like the chat widget, may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

Your Rights & Choices

Ask, and we'll take care of it.

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message; you'll get one confirmation that you've been unsubscribed, and you can opt back in later. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the email itself. Full detail on the texting program is in our Terms of Service.

You can also ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing alden@engineno9inc.com. We'll respond directly rather than through an automated process. If you're in a jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights (such as the EU/UK GDPR or a US state privacy law), those rights apply and we'll honor requests made under them.

Data Retention & Security

We keep it as long as it's useful, and no longer.

We retain the information you provide for as long as reasonably needed to maintain our relationship and business records, or until you ask us to delete it. We take reasonable steps to protect information in our care, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children.

This Site and our services are intended for business use by adults, not children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We'll update the date above if anything material changes.

If we make material changes to how we handle information, we'll update this page and revise the effective date at the top. This policy doesn't apply to third-party sites we link to, which have their own privacy practices.
